The Vision
Our vision is to heal the wounds that the world has inflicted on our youth by
providing the training necessary to succeed.  We will provide a variety of
workshops including self-esteem, anger management, bullying, conflict resolution,
attitudes, peer pressure and much more.
Our History
Violence has become an epidemic. Children are dying now in record numbers.  It wasn’
t long ago when our Director was a youth. During which time she engaged herself in fights
as a direct result of being bullied. She was involved in a fight which lasted three days.
When the fight was over she was struck with a horseshoe stake 3 inches deep inside her
head. She had  stitches placed on the inside and the outside of her head.  She had
received a fractured skull and the doctors said if the stake had of went in 2 inches deeper
she would have died instantly.
As years went on she overcame her need to fight and received a calling to save our
youth.  As she contemplated in her mind she declared that the youth needed a Cure
Today!  They needed a cure from the disease of violence that they have been plagued
with all their lives.  Through her motivational speaking she has touched hundreds of public
school children’s lives.  Her charisma and passion for what she does only add to her
personal testimony.  For the last 3 years she has been delivering her message wherever
requested.
Our Executive Director has been working with the youth with nearly the same calling: to
save our youth.  He has served as a Facilitator and Program Coordinator with a
Nonviolence Program. Through his experience and training there he organized his own
organization called
Random Acts of Kindness. Through his organization he has
coordinated very successful Nonviolence Awareness Days.  During these Nonviolence
Awareness Days, students, parents, teachers and the community are exposed to dynamic
speakers they would otherwise never hear.  Through his work he has touched hundreds
of public school children’s lives. It was in the midst of this mission that he met, fell in love
and married the Director. Thus
The Cure Today was formed to offer our youth just
that... A Cure Today!
Now together they have vowed to get
The Cure Today out to as many youth as
possible.  The Cure Today Nonviolence Program is a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
